Community Service
In the MOMS Club of League City Central/Dickinson East, we try to conduct several community service projects and fundraisers each year for the benefit of children, families, and other groups in need. Below is a list of service projects and fundraisers we have been participated and contributed to.
Summer 2017 community service projects coming soon…
July 2016 - February 2017
• Our chapter supported the League City Police Department's "School's Out, Hunger's In" food drive and was able to donate 135lbs of food. This food benefited the Children’s Nutritional Outreach programs with the Galveston County Food Bank.
• In September, the MOMS Club hosted a very exciting community service project, PAWS for a Cause! Many of our children are reaching the age of wanting to have a pet of their own. Sea Paws Mobile Vet joined the club at a local park for a mobile vet tour and pet care demonstration. Along with the demonstration, 12 kiddos decorated bandanas for animals to wear on adoption days at the League City Animal Shelter. Moms and kiddos also donated pet supplies to the shelter. The pet supplies and bandana donations demonstrated and taught our children the importance of helping animals in need in our community.
• In October, 14 MOMS Club kids trick-or-treated at Baywind Village Convalescent. To say thank you, the MOMS Club gifted the residents with all of the pictures taken from event.
